A Semester in a Nut Shell

A picutre is worth a thousand words.
So here are 25 thousand for you.
{ps there are no Yellowcard pictures on here, I don't have them for some reason, but it happen}

So far it's been the best adventure of my life.
Thanks mom and dad for making it possible for me to come to Cedar.
I love you.

This is About how I Feel Right Now...

GRRRR!
BLAH!
UUUUGGGGHHHHHH!!!
{Insert other exasperated sounds here}
Why is it that I can take all of my 'hard' finals with ease and then when I get to my 'easy' final I fall apart all over the place.
Just some background info for those of you at home who don't know what University 1000 is.
I will tell you.
It is misery at its finest!
It's just a bunch of busy work.
The workbook is BS because you can just write song lyrics in it {mine is a tribute to Garth} and your teacher will flip through the pages and see that there is ink on the pages and you pass.
THAT IS THE FINAL.
How can I fail at that?
Well I needed a print out of next semester’s schedule...
I realized this when I woke up, tried printing it out.
Wouldn't work.

I got fed up and took Kenzie's schedule that was taped to the wall.
I ran across campus to the class room and NO ONE was there.
I wondered around aimlessly for a bit until a lady directed me where to go.
Bless her heart.
Then after being there for far too long I found out MY final is tomorrow.
I have to go back!
Rock on!

So here's to final's week!
I thought I got passed you stress free, but you wouldn't have it.
You win; now please let me go home.

PS after all this happen I devised a plan where someone at home got seriously ill and Kenz and I had to leave immediately and they would have to flip through our workbooks today and send us on our way.
It would have worked, but it started getting complicated and we would’ve had to let all the animals in the zoo out to create a distraction.
So I will be patient and not act like a three year old and stomp my feet {even though I really want to}
I will cope by changing the thermostat to 45 degrees and listening as my roommates freak.
That always uplifts my mood.
Hope your Wednesday is better than mine!
{It is Wednesday, right??}
Love you all :)

Fear Factor!

First I played it.
Then I watched it.

Kenz and I went rock climbing with Mark-O last night-O.
It's free for finals week so we will most likely be going every day!!
Horary!
Not to brag or anything, but you should be impressed at how good we are at entertaining ourselves for zero dollars!

I just wanna praise rock climbers for a moment.
Here’s to you guys, you risk your lives every day just because!
I mean who else does that??
You guys are stellar!
It's crazy scary.
I made it passed the yellow line and I was instantly frozen with fear.
I may have peed myself a little.
Wow guys that’s a joke… don’t believe such nonsense!
Eventually I made it to the top.
Deep breath.
REALLY deep breath.
and then they told me to let go of the wall.
Oh, sure.
Just let go and fall to my death.
Turns out it wasn’t such a bad idea.
It was completely safe and I'm still alive.
I guess fear is NOT a factor for me.

Did all y'all know that Fear Factor is back on TV?
I was uber duper excited.
I used to watch it all the time with my sister.
They had some crazy stunts on there.
Thanks Mark-O for letting us take over your house last night to watch it!!
and that is all for today folks.
Have a good one!

I felt like an elf when I put these on. Where are the tools and the toys?

Me clinging to the wall and wimpering that "I wanna come down!"

He is pro.

Kenz; wimpering and clinging.

This one just looks funny and makes me laugh.
OHHHHHH PS
Kenz cleaned out the fridge yesterday.
Every single thing was rotten.
Every single thing belonged to me.
hahahhahahahhahaha
oppsie :)
For those of you with weak stomachs
Don't scroll any further.
I'm just putting this up because I think it's funny and I couldn't stop laughing at Kenz as she cleaned and gaged, gagged and cleaned.
{yes I spelled that two different ways, spell check says they are both correct and I didn't wanna play favorites}

Five month old cheese

Two month old chicken salad sandwich makings

Three month's expired cream cheese. The beagles I bought it for got mold on them before I could eat them.

Rice from the first week of school?? Yikes!
There was more, but that is all I will show you :)

Taking the Road Less Traveled

Sometimes I'm a little odd.
I love Star Trek.
Call of Duty is cool.
When I laugh too hard my tears roll down my legs.
'nough said.

The reason I mention those things is because the weirdest thing happen to me today.
I was walking to my math 1030 final this afternoon and I couldn't stop smiling.
I was excited to take it.
When I finished I felt superb.
I walked to lunch with a big grin on my face.
I had fun taking my final?
I couldn’t stop thinking about how nuts I was.
Then I realized:
It's true that when you are prepared you need not fear.

D&C 38: 30
I tell you these things because of your prayers; wherefore; treasure up wisdom in your bosoms... if ye are prepared ye shall not fear.

I love it when things you've learned in church are actually applicable to life.

Speaking of which.
I learned something very thought provoking yesterday:
When Christ comes there will be a thousand years of peace and Satan will be bound, right?
I always pictured him in handcuffs and rotting in a prison cell in Antarctica.
But someone had a thought yesterday that made me really think.
What if he's not tied up in a dungeon freezing his heart out?
{P.S. I think hell is cold, nothing can grow or live in that kind of environment. Plants die in the Winter not Summer.}
What if the people left on earth are so righteous that Satan will have no power over their hearts.
If that is true, we can bind Satan in our own lives today.
We don't have to wait.

Alma 48: 17
Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men have been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.
What an incredible blessing.

Ok this picture is ironic, because I'm not actually supposed to be walking here... but I'm the type of girl that walks in the outs; so it works for me.

Stalked

First and foremost I wanna get some thoughts out of my mind.
Where do house cats go when they roam around the neighborhood?
Do they have their favorite hangout spots?
The first thing I’m going to do when I get home: duct tape a video camera to a cat.
Don't y'all think that would be so interesting?
Almost as cool as finding life on mars?
Personally, I think so.
But not as cool as what I am about to disclose to you in 2.2 seconds.
Last night…

I stalked David Archuleta.
He came to Cedar for a Christmas show.
Yes, my cute little town of almost nothingness!!
My sister that lives in Chicago informed me of this.
It’s lame that SUU didn’t advertise it :(
The first thing I did when I found out was text Mark:
"Wanna try to stalk someone with Kenz and me tonight??"

"Ummmmm yes!! who?"
"David Archuleta."
"Riiiiiight.... care to explain?"
Can you believe he doubted me???
I am appalled!
But he made up for it when he waited outside the Heritage Center with us for four hours.
We jammed out to Taylor Swift, ate Hot 'n Ready Pizza, and played the face game.
Kenz and I vowed that when he came out we wouldn't turn into crazed girls and scream our lungs out.
HAAAA!
Yeah right!! That lasted about 5.2 seconds.
A ton of girls jumped on the poor guy and he scrambled onto his bus and drove away.
So since we're not crazed fans at all, we followed his bus.
Almost to St. George.
But Mark turned around, which I don't wanna talk about because I'm still upset about it.
Can you believe I ALMOST met Davey!!!
Be jealous Mamma!! :)
Stake out

A few photo's from the face game

Poor guy, stuck with us crazies for four hours

This is the only picture we got, we waited an etenity for this :) not to mention, he didn't even sign Mark's receipt for me :(

I jumped in this lady's photo, if anyone see's a similar one floating around on Facebook {with David's face in it} let me know. I'd like a copy.

I am also at http://myloveaffairwithcountry.blogspot.com/

Cake and Call of Duty

Yesterday was the 19th annual celebration of Carlos Delcastilo's birth!!
What a guy that fella is.
Kenz and I were very lady like and baked him a cake.
While it was doing its spontaneous combustion thing in the oven we played Call of Duty.
Yes.
That is not a typo, we played Call of Duty.
and LOVED it!
I got a tad too excited about the whole thing.
I'm sure their upstairs neighbors did not appreciate my vocal cords.
Sorry 'bout that folks.
But...
Those zombies are FREAKY, if they were trying to get you, you’d scream too!
Fact.

Recognize this box? If you do you are exceptionally {my new word} observant. It's the doughnut box that once held those 50 precious delights. We used our wicked artsy farsty skills to spruce it up!!

The contents of the box. Some of it was good. I promise. Like the popcorn and the ring pop. Or, my personal favorite: the spider ring. Can you spot it?

Ok ok, just know that after 2 hours of playing these were NOT our best scores. Kenzie's high score was 20 kills and mine was 15. Awesome, right? Right. Not to mention I got 5 head shots that particular round... which I think is a good thing?

I dare you to guess which corner I frosted, and If you get it wrong I will stuff cake up your nose. I'm only joking, no worries. This sorry thing was our attempt at a double decker cake. Happy Birthday Carlos, we gave it our best effort! Looks scrumptious right??

This is just a cute photo of Kenz so I thought I'd put it up!

My fellow blog friends...

I am starting another blog http://myloveaffairwithcountry.blogspot.com/ and it's going to be devoted purely to music, mostly Country. Extra! Extra! Eat all about it!!

Last night there was a relief society activity.
It consisted of an open house, doughnuts and hot chocolate.
Kenz and I went for a wee bit, and then headed over to Mark's place for a session of "what do you want to do?" "I don't know what do you want to do?"
In the midst of that fun-ness we told him about the activity we had just attended.
He wanted a doughnut.
So we did the logical thing to do.
We drove to the church and told him to wander around and act like he didn't know what was going down and when he saw some ladies to flirt it up and they would give him a doughnut.
5 minutes later Kenz and I are sitting in the car just talking and my mouth drops open and I point at Mark coming out of the church.
He was walking toward us with a box of 50 doughnuts in hand.
I started laughing and asked him what on earth he said to those girls.
He would not reveal his secrets.
From now on I'm always going to have Mark do my dirty work.
So we came back to the dorms and knocked on everyone's doors and yelled "FREE DOUGHNUTS" and wished them Happy Holidays! Pictured below are some of the happy faces we brightened.

This fine fella was doin his laundry!!

Now I do admit we ate like 10 doughnuts, but we shared MOST of them, and that is what should really count, that and calories! Which is something I personally choose to ignore :) Tis the season to get things for free and then share!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS FOLKS! :)

P.S.

The most awkward thing ever happened today!!

Oh trust me.

You think you've have awkward moments, well this one is off the charts.

I thought my ballet teacher said "let’s all squish our genitals together."

I looked around and no one looked as horrified as I did.

I'm pretty sure that is not what he said...

But I will never know because I was much too scared to ask someone.

Kickin' It College Style:

Our favorite place for recreational activities is the laundry room.
Two words. Volley ball.
We improvise.
A random towel hanging around became the net.
It wasn't enough all on its own.
We got innovative. Thank you University 1000!
We searched and found some loose hangers in the cupboard.
Along with some earrings.
We created a very sophisticated net.
The hamper become the ball.
I won, hands down.
It wasn't even a challenge!
Thank you, Thank you, I'll be here all year!
I'm thinking of staring a tournament??

Sad face: He lost.
I won... and I'm turning into the Hulk??

Dearest Jason Aldean

I am kinda POed at you.
Like, really.
On cyber Monday I bought an $8 shirt because you promised it would come with a FREE wide open DVD.
That was false and my heart is broken.
You owe me BIG brotha!!
Like free backstage passes to one of your concerts.
Or a kiss on the cheek?
Maybe that one is pushin it a little.
Regardless, I will be expecting something so pay up!
Thanks, I love you :)

-Your slightly angry fan :)

p.s. the shirt is pretty cute... so I'm slightly happy too :)

I'm In Love

With The Fact That:

1. After Wednesday I never have to wear tights and a leotard. EVER again!!
Can I get an AMEN!!
2. A boy in my ballet class wore Disney undies with his tights. It was very entertaining might I say.
3. That the cafe's dish washer broke and we got to eat on paper plates and take the cups home if we wanted to!!
4. We played hide and seek our maze room in the DARK the other day. I'm so bruised from it. I look like I went through the tumble cycle in the dryer. Not to mention I tripped and hit my forehead on the dresser... pretty funny moment and slightly embarrassing. Now I have a cute little lump! No more of that game!
5. I'm listening to Christmas music on a YouTube play list because my iPod has been missing for three months.
6. I'm in love with Woody!! :)

Before this picture was taken me, Mark, Kenz, and Carlos were driving along in peace. Then when I caught sight of Woody all hell broke loose. I immediately yelled stop the car, I crawled over the seat and nearly pummeled the driver as I tried to roll the window down so I could ask Woody to take a picture with me. All this happen while the car was still in motion. I love this picture!! :) It's my all-time fave.

You're Never Too Old

to go sledding!!
Me and my pals had a ROCKIN time last night! :)
We mastered the jumps with grace; I have bruises to prove it.
They hurt.
I'm not complaining though.
It was worth it.
Note to self: get some snow clothes so frost bite and I don't have to become acquainted.

Sorry about chopping your face off Mark. I hope it didn't hurt too bad :)

Kenz looks a wee bit chilled!!

I know you can't tell... but it really was gorgeous! The sunset was pink and lovely!

quick story:
Before sledding I had work so the key to the car was in my work pants pocket. So we go out to drive to Marks and we realize we don't have a key.
Kenz: "Go get it hahaha"
Me: "ok only if you'll pull the car up.... wait.... hahahhaah"
we thought it was a hoot.
sometimes I am blonde.
When I was running back to the car my glasses were sliding off my nose.
I looked like this and Kenz laughed... when I saw the picture I did too :)

Mystery

First off, before we get to the mildly creepy and exciting part, I'd like to tell you that I am eating dry Cocoa Puffs for breakfast.
Yes. Dry.
Every time I go grocery shopping I make a list of everything I need, I put everything in my cart and on my way up to the register I start thinking 'I really don't need THIS.' So I put it back on the shelf and by the time I get to the front to pay I have one item.
So I leave the store feeling quite savvy about myself.
I just saved so much money. I didn't buy anything frivolous like milk or toilet paper.
I stuck to my needs:
chocolate.
By the time I get home and want to shower I realize there is no soap and then I start thinking 'why did I think I didn't need that again?' Long story short I have no milk because I talked myself out of buying it. Awesome.

Now for the super natural juicy story that you have all been waiting for!
So before I go to bed I plug my phone in and it sleeps right next to me.
It's my alarm clock ok? I'm not attached to my phone or anything....
any whoooo!
The past few mornings I've woken up and my phone is nowhere near me. Somehow it manages to fly across the room. Which can mean one of two things?
One, we have a ghost in our room, or two I do really weird things in my sleep.
Kenzie laughs, Whitney buys stuff online, so why not me?
BUT I tend to lean towards the ghost idea because a while ago there was a strange ticking in the wall. We thought it was either a bomb or someone got stuck inside the wall (when the building was being built like 10 years ago) and was using Morse code to try to get help.
We almost got a sledge hammer to brake the wall down to help the guy out, but the ticking stopped so either he died or someone else saved him first.
Dang!
I wanted to be a hero. Maybe next time.
Either way I’ve considered calling Scooby and his gang or at least the ghost busters to figure this one out for me.

Boots:

Last night Kenz and I were walking home from Mark's apartment and I suddenly slipped off the side walk and fell into the gutter... 5 min later *huge splash* I fell into the gutter yet a second time. I almost broke my ankle because whoever designed Cedars City built trenches that  are 12 feet deep. It was a thrill going down! The moral of this story. I woke up this morning, my boots were still drenched, and I only have one pair of snow boots. What is a girl to do? So cute yellow polka dot rain boots are now on my Christmas List. Go herehttp://www.bing.com/shopping/chooka-boot-womens-posh-dots-boots/p/53AAAF335AD3E1B55020?q=rain+boots&lpp=2&lppc=16&lpq=rain%2bboots&FORM=CMSMEE to see them :)
I've been mighty good this year Santa!! I pinky swear.
